July's pet of the month is Ozzie!

Meet Ozzie Miner, our September Pet of the Month!

Ozzie found his forever family in 2018 at an adoption event in Petaluma when he was just 10 weeks old. His dad, a big soccer fan, named him after Ozzie Alonzo from the Seattle Sounders.

Ozzie is a 60-pound boxer/bully mix who is equal parts muscle and love. His signature look—one ear up and one ear down—often stops strangers in their tracks and always earns compliments.

He does have severe food allergies, which means he sticks to his prescription diet, but there’s one special treat he can always enjoy: blueberries. At home, the family jokes that no one can enter the kitchen without paying the “blueberry tax.” Ozzie will happily do just about anything for one.

Some of Ozzie’s favorite things include going on pack walks, swimming, car rides, playing with other dogs, and, of course, destroying toys. He also enjoys spending time with his best friend Rey, another Central Animal Hospital patient, especially when it comes to posing for birthday photos.

We are thrilled to honor Ozzie as our September Pet of the Month and celebrate the joy he brings to his family and everyone who meets him.
