Meet July’s Pet of the Month: Loki!

Everyone meet our July Pet of the Month, Loki (aka Squee)!

Meowdy! My name is Loki, but my mom calls me Squee because of the adorable noises I made as a kitten. Eight years ago, the day after Christmas, I was discovered in a barn in Oregon when my mom went to feed her horse. I was just a little orange flash darting through the barn, giving everyone quite a scare! With a little patience (and some help from the resident barn cats), I was convinced to come out and soon got my first taste of the good life as an indoor cat.

Over the years, I became a master mouser and expert snake catcher. I spent my days adventuring outdoors and keeping watch over the property. Things got a little complicated when my grandparents adopted two little black cats that I decided were my mortal enemies.

A few years later, my mom started a big new adventure of her own. She went to college, earned her degrees, worked away from home, and eventually joined the Coast Guard. When it was time for her next chapter, I packed my bags and moved with her. Since then, life has been pretty sweet. I gained a sister, get spoiled with sushi shrimp, and enjoy being carried like a baby every morning while my mom gets ready for work.

Loki has come a long way from his barn-cat beginnings and now enjoys the pampered life he deserves. We are honored to be part of his healthcare team and grateful that his family shared his story with us.
