At Central Animal Hospital, we love all of our patients so much we have decided to honor one pet each month and give them the title of pet of the month.
For the Month of July we'd like to introduce, Winston!
Winston, as you can tell from the pictures above, is a big, gentle, mellow, black and white tom cat who was adopted from Sonoma Humane in Christmas of 2015. Since he was brought in as a stray, it is hard to know exactly how old he is but, we estimated that he is about 4 years old by now.
Winston is a great companion for his human dad. He comes running with excitement to the front door when his dad gets home, giving him several enthusiastic wet nose bumps along with a loud steady purr of love. He's also very playful. He loves to be chased around the house, get tickled on his soft belly, and grab a human hand from around the corner of the wall. He has fun tossing and wrestling with his catnip mice and foam balls, while often doing a big forward somersault as he pounces on them!
Winston has a big personality and is very intelligent. He says "Hi" when he greets his dad, answers "Yeah" when asked any question. He also chants "Now!" with impatience while his food is being prepared, and gives a happy growl when he is feeling rambunctious. He even barks like a dog around guests in the house. Winston is so smart that he even sits on command without having any training.
Winston enjoys both watching movies and listening to music for hours in the comfort of a warm human lap. Other favorite activities for him include, chattering at birds while he stalks them from behind the patio screen door, and waking his dad up for breakfast in the morning by affectionately walking over him and drooling on him.
Winston is an endless source of joy and spunky personality. This is just one of the reasons he has been granted pet of the month! Congrats, Winston!
We wanted to thank all of you for your kindness and help with our dog Joey. We only went into your office twice but everyone treated us like we had been there forever.
